Forces of the Empire club Prez - Pat Grant

Pat Grant is the President of the Forces of Empire. By the way, Pat is short for Patricia, not Patrick.

She's been involved in Science Fiction - Media fandom since 1973, when she attended her first Star Trek convention in Detroit, MI.

After being a member of several clubs, she finally decided to start one of her own in 1980 (see the Club Chronology). In addition to this club, Pat runs a Star Trek writing club which takes place in the ST:TNG universe.

Pat is a role-player and enjoys gaming in DC, Marvel, Vampire-The Masquerade, Amber, and many others.

Pat is a fan of many shows and movies: Star Wars, Star Trek (all aspects), Highlander, Red Dwarf, Dr. Who, Black Adder, Battlestar Galactica, X-Files, Alien Nation, V, 1950's Black and White Sci-Fi flicks, Forever Knight, to name but a few.

She is also a fan of many novels: Zelazny's Amber series, Tolkien, Alan Garner, Anne Rice, horror stories (she prefers Koontz to King), supernatural fiction (and non-fiction), classics, and she is a major fan of Shakespear's works (although she is one of those who believe that Shakespeare was a front for someone else who really did the writing).

Her favorite actors are: Harrison Ford, Alan Rickman, Adrian Paul, Whoope Goldberg, Rutger Hauer, Patrick Stewart, Kathryn Hepburn, and Danny Kay.

Pat likes all kinds of music, except country (sorry to all the country fans out there!), and her favorite singer is Sting.

Religion is important in Pat's life, and she thoroughly enjoys getting into theological discussions. She is a member of the Bahai Faith.

The love of Pat's life, right now, is her two cats, Princess Leia and Lieutenant Tasha Yar (a source of both endless love and endless amusement!)

For a living, Pat works at Dart Container as a Scheduler.

Pat turned 41 on January 12, 1995

Of all Pat's interests, Forces of the Empire has taken most of her time and effort, and she hopes the club has given, and will give, others as much enjoyment as she has received from it.
