Blaze is sitting in her room, her wings wrapped around her as she gathers her thoughts. The guards step aside from the door as Darana approaches. Blaze turns and looks at the door as she hears a knock. She looks at the door curiously not used to being asked for entrance. She stands up and moves to the door opening it when she hears the knock again. Darana smiles, ^ÓCome with me please.^Ô Blaze looks, nods and follows her. ~~ The man watches Kaehlyiah his eyes wide as she nears him, his eyes meeting hers. Kaehlyiah grins ferally at him, ^ÓThey killed more than just two.^Ô She says softly pulling back and slashing her talons down his shoulder and chest creating flesh wounds. ^ÓI know nothing of that.^Ô The man hissed in pain. ^ÓLike I said, it was a secret.^Ô Kaehlyiah watches him with a grin. Shade walks over, ^ÓHmmm, good parallel cuts, let me show you something^Å^Ô Kaehlyiah watches Shade, with a tilt of her head. The man looks up at Shade his eyes widening. ~~ Blaze follows Darana onto the lifts, not asking where they are going, but wondering. As they reach their floor, Darana exits and walks down a corridor, taking out an access card and entering the room where Blaze can see Kaehlyiah working. Shade picks up a scalpel and two metal rods that are attached to each other at one end. He uses the scalpel to make a cut connecting the parallel cuts and then lifts the edge of the skin. He uses the two rods to clasp the skin and begins to roll the rods along the cuts, peeling the skin slowly. ^ÓThe hardest part is beginning the peel.^Ô The man screams in agonizing pain, watching Shade in absolute terror. Kaehlyiah nods, logging Shade^Òs lesson in her memory for future use. Blaze moves into the room and watches, her eyes lighting up. Her desire to cause the man pain was building inside of her. Shade removes the rods and hands them to Kaehlyiah. ^ÓYou try.^Ô Darana walks around to the other side of the table motioning for Blaze to follow. Blaze taps her nails against each other as she follows, a grin on her face. Shade watches Blaze carefully, keeping an eye on her. The man trembles seeing Blaze with Darana. He looks as Kaehlyiah takes the rods and moves closer. She copies Shade^Òs motions with the skin and starts to slowly roll the rods. Darana begins to prepare an IV. ^ÓHe will need fluids to keep him alive.^Ô The man^Òs hands clench the chair tightly as he arches his body in response to the pain. The skin slips a few times, but gradually Kaehlyiah gets the hang of it. An almost child-like giggle escapes her lips before she squelches it. Once there is a break in the session, Darana hits a button and the chair turns into a table. //This allows you better and easier access to your subject.// Shade looks at Kaehlyiah as he gathers some gauze. ^ÓNext, you need to cover the wounds to avoid the body from bleeding out.^Ô As he speaks he covers the man^Òs wounds with gauze and then steps back. Kaehlyiah mirrors his actions. Blaze listens to them as she watches the man twitching in pain. Her hands clench and unclench, itching to draw pain from him. Darana hands the IV catheter to Blaze. ^ÓHave you ever inserted one of these before?^Ô Blaze shakes her head no, looking at the catheter in her hand, studying it. Darana smiles, ^ÓHere.^Ô She turns the man^Òs head. ^ÓThen you will have better luck with the vein up here.^Ô Blaze moves towards Darana, running a finger lightly along the vein in the man^Òs neck. ^ÓTap it.^Ô Blaze does as Darana directs her. She senses Darana^Òs instructions in her mind and follows them, slowly inserting the catheter in the vein guiding it and feeling it. The man arches in pain, panting and beginning to wish for death to come. Blaze grins at the sound and sensation of pain that she senses from him. Once the catheter is inserted, a bag of fluids is hooked up and Darana checks his vital signs again. Blaze steps back from the table. Kaehlyiah watches. Darana turns around surprised that all has paused. She glances at each one in turn. Kaehlyiah looks at Darana. //I have my information, may we play now?// ^ÓYou may.^Ô Darana replies out loud. ^ÓShade, make sure they get the fullest potential out of him.^Ô Blaze looks at Darana with a grin wondering if that means she gets to play too. ^ÓYes Master.^Ô Shade said turning to the table once more, ^ÓNow, we^Òll see why I used gauze instead of a proper bandage.^Ô Kaehlyiah grins and nods. ^ÓBlaze, grab one end of the gauze and pull away slowly.^Ô Blaze does as she is directed. She grins her fangs showing at the edge of her lips as the man arches in pain, the gauze clinging to his wounds. Through the screams, Shade teaches the two students, //Remember, most pain nerves are at the skin and just below. Shallow wounds can hurt just as much as deep wounds. Plus, they don^Òt kill as quickly.// Blaze makes a silent note of this. Kaehlyiah nods, watching as Blaze inflicts pain on the man. The three of them continue to play with the man inflicting and learning about various methods of torture for nearly a half hour of time or more. In time, Blaze^Òs blood lust has gotten the best of her and she slices open an artery. ^ÓRookies. Always end it so early.^Ô Kaehlyiah says nothing, but grunts in disapproval. Blaze grins, watching as the man starts to bleed to death. She decides to finish him more quickly by slashing his throat open. She walks away sucking the blood off her finger. Shade looks at her. ^ÓYou will learn control. Or you will be on the table.^Ô Blaze cocks her head in response to his comment. Kaehlyiah hops down and watches the man squirm. Shade looks at her, ^ÓPerhaps, even both.^Ô //Darana, they have finished with him. What do you wish done with Blaze?// //Bring Blaze to me after you have all cleaned up.// Kaehlyiah sighed, ^ÓPity we couldn^Òt heal him and start all over.^Ô Shade looks at Kaehlyiah. ^ÓThat was the plan, but lessons are over. Time to clean up.^Ô Shade reaches into a cabinet and pulls out gloves and buckets. The man convulses one last time before his eyes go completely blank in death. Kaehlyiah nods and heads to the door. ^ÓWhere are you going?^Ô Shade asks watching her. ^ÓAlways clean up after yourself.^Ô Kaehlyiah looks and goes back over to where he is. Shade supervises, as Blaze and Kaehlyiah do equal work to remove and destroy the body then clean the theater. Shade checks their work and then turns to face them both. ^ÓNow, you may go clean yourself up before dinner Kaehlyiah. Blaze, come with me.^Ô Kaehlyiah nods and returns to her quarters. During the interrogation the Topaz had arrived back at Courescant. Shade leads Blaze to her quarters. ^ÓClean up. I will return in a few moments with clean clothes.^Ô Blaze nods moving into the room and washes her hands, arms and face. As she dries her face she hears a knock and moves to the door. She nods to Shade who has a bundle of basic black clothing. ^ÓPut these on, we need to go to the house. I^Òll be right here, when you are dressed.^Ô Blaze takes the clothes and lets the door shut. She changes quickly and then steps out. She follows Shade to the shuttle bays. As they walk he contacts Kaehlyiah, ^ÓMeet me in shuttle bay one.^Ô Kaehlyiah acknowledges his communication and once she is clean, meets them in the shuttle bay. Shade flies them down to the household, his movements quick, efficient and economic. ^ÓKaehlyiah, don^Òt forget to be at dinner. Blaze, come with me.^Ô Shade walks off, heading for Darana^Òs office. Kaehlyiah does as she is told, heading for her own quarters. Blaze follows Shade down the hall studying his movements. //Master, we^Òre here.// //Enter.// Shade opens the door to the office and ushers Blaze inside. ^ÓIf you have no further need of me Master?^Ô ^ÓNo Shade, thank you.^Ô Shade bows slightly before departing the office. Blaze enters the office, looking around. ^ÓSit down Blaze.^Ô Blaze sits down, watching her, still wary of her surroundings. ^ÓTell me what is it you wish to do with your life?^Ô Blaze looks at her not sure of how to answer. ^ÓI do not know. I have never^Å been asked.^Ô Darana nods, ^ÓWell^Å you will be given a home here^Å an opportunity to discover just what it is you wish to do^Å understand that you attacked one of our own and the only reason you are alive is due to your own unique circumstances.^Ô ^ÓYou do not wish to control me?^Ô ^ÓWhat would be the point? No you are far less effective if I were to try and control you.^Ô Blaze watched her. ^ÓA home here^Å what do you wish of me in return?^Ô ^ÓLoyalty to this house, the empire and the emperor.^Ô ^ÓAnd no one will do to me what the one we killed tonight did?^Ô ^ÓOnly if you betray us.^Ô Blaze nodded, ^ÓUnderstood.^Ô ^ÓGood. Because this house does not stand for one of its own being attacked.^Ô ^ÓI will not attack without provocation^Å I will^Å not attack those here if that is what is expected of me^Å^Ô ^ÓIt is.^Ô ^ÓI understand.^Ô ^ÓGood.^Ô Darana reached for the intercom and called Rook. ^ÓRook is my second in command here. He will show you to your quarters and settle you in. Dinner is in half an hour. I expect you there^Å he will fill you in on all of the rules.^Ô Blaze nodded, soaking everything in. She had a home and for the first time in her short life, was free.
