After an extended personal mission to Correlia, Knight Kaliandra Daroa and her Padawan Mathias Kaneelo finally find traces of Knight Daroa's birth family. The information she finds leads her to Zoron.
Charise Kanz wears a borrowed pendant necklace to the annual Ambassadors' Ball. Kanz's spy on Balgon, Michael Sharn, returns to Kaled City and sees Charise at the ball. On the palace balcony, he discusses his findings with Ambassador Kanz. Kanz instructs Sharn to return to Kalimant and transfer the documents he has obtained to him there. Lien attends the ball and leaves early.
Unbenownst to Kanz, Sharn has a duplicate necklace made from a generic holographic still image taken at a distance. The "gemstone" of this necklace, resembling the green topaz in the original, is actually a holorecording medium containing a strongly encrypted recording of every piece of evidence he collected or saw on Balgon. He replaces Charise's original with it. Lien surreptitiously observes Sharn returning to the palace with the duplicate.

Charise decides to wear a different necklace. Later, her best friend
from Kaled, the daughter of the palace security chief, comes into her
room and cks it up. [not seen] Lien compliments Charise on the one
he saw last week, hoping to convince her to wear it so one of his
agents can nab it. (OOC: Sharn delayed this agent unwittingly and
unexpectedly.)
Lien
clubs Charise down in a hall of the palace, taking only the pendant
necklace. [not seen; discussed by Jack and Alida in RPed meeting
from Day 2] He disposes of the murder weapon and flees the planet in
his diplomatic singleship within 40 minutes. The murder is discovered
within 20 minutes and all diplomats are sequestered at the palace,
but it is not realized until a hour after the murder that Lien is
missing. 01:40 after the killing, a warrant for his detainment and an
all-planets bulletin is issued. [not seen; discussed OOC with Dana]
Lien arrives in orbit around Balgon and transfers to a courier vessel
provided by his cronies in the orbital patrol. He gets under way to
Telos immediately and spends several hours en route making
superficial changes to his appearance and forging his documents.
Lien arrives in orbit around Balgon. He is challenged and replies over holocomm with a customs manifest. He is not boarded, but is directed to land on D'arrin, one of 78 couriers from Balgon to Telos that week and one of 241 in the days between the murder and the weddings. Evidence (prints and trace fibers) collected from the crime scene implicates Lien.
Lien abandons the ship in the lower level of a hangar on D'arrin, taking what he needs, including a hunting blaster rifle and two sidearms, a large amount of ammunition, and survival gear. He wipes the ship's memory.
Lien goes into hiding in the wilderness of D'arrin, stopping in at the farmhouses of two of his cronies in random alternation. When cornered, he will head for a neighoring farmstead and take the civilians hostage.
The Kaledi delegation (Gregorius and the four delegates) arrives in the ship /Kaled 2/. Arnav has the blue tourmaline earrings worn by Charise Kanz in a secured container.

vassal planets.

AM: Balgon reveals plans to
introduce tariff reforms having a devastating impact on the entire
Kaled Assembly, especially the agrarian worlds of Kalimant and Lamos.
This is tied to a restriction on commecial shipping from Telos
through Balgon, and to export restrictions on starship fuel and seed
stock. Talks quickly reach an impasse as it becomes clear that the
corrupt Lien family of Balgon is behind this.
PM: In a
late-evening discussion, Arn assigns Jack to make contact with
Telosian and Shardakouran representatives, and try to arrange an
audience with Prime Minister Derek Ionsoch after the weddings.
Damien Alderson and Anna Marry in State Wedding on Shardakour
post-wedding reception Anthor, Formen, Davies, Renardine are in attendance. Immediately following the weddings, Gregorius was called to an emergency summit of trade delegates, some of whom have to catch the early transports back to their respective vassal planets; later Renardine will stand in for him - Anthor, Renardine seated at Table 1, down from M'lissa, Michael Cairnfell, Xanatos and Christine, and Sharra N'Aquivar. Sharra rescues Jack from an uncomfortable interview with Michael; they dance, and Jack asks Sharra to attend the next performance of the Royal Orchestra (which happens to be an opera) on Day 6.
Jennifer arranges the meeting for Rory Ultan and Governor Tobias Zelek of arridor to discuss and try to resolve the difficulties Arridor has with the Jedi through the Governor's aide.
Michael Cairnfell spends two nights with Princess M'lissa he discovers she has killed in the past and reaches out to her, bringing that memory and feelings to the surface.
Jack makes his report to Arn around 01:30 local time and calls him

He is teased by Arn. Joshi attends a press conference and interviews
the Shardakouran privy secretary, but learns little of note. Around
11:00, Jack wanders into a street cafe near the Palace and encounters
Alida with Ilionath and Nyssa. Alida overhears Jack indiscreetly
speaking to Arn about M'lissa and Cairnfell (routine fact-finding)
and sends Nyssa to interrogate him. Jack reveals that he is tasked
with contacting the government of Telos over the trade dispute. Nyssa
offers to introduce Jack to Alida and invites him to dinner. Jack
agrees to both. He is again teased by Arn, who observed the
beginning of the conversation between Nyssa and Jack.

Preliminaries in the search for Lien begin: his courier ship
registration is run against orbital landing records and parking

2004] About an hour later, Zoey and Dak wander into a pub and talk
with the younger Steeles. Arn decides to send them back to Kaled
following the conclusion of trade talks.
Jack meets with Alida at 0800. Arn is called by holocomm and sends
the earrings down to the surface by 1000. Xanatos oversees Alida's
inspection of the earrings with Nyssa. Alida gives Jack an
illustration of the necklace she saw.
PPM: Jack transmits the
illustration to Arn, who circulates it to members of the palace guard
and to the Intelligence Subcommittee, including Hannen Kanz.

2004]: AM: During an early breakfast, the head of Kaled palace
security is viewing the sketch. His daughter, Charise's friend, sees
it over his shoulder and is shocked to recognize it. She asks about
it and is questioned in return by her father; she then produces the
duplicate she recovered from Charise's room. Kanz is notified. He
and Arn confer about the necklace, and it is sent to Telos.
PPM: The /Kaled 11/, a diplomatic vessel carrying 6 Kaledi Secret
Service agents and 6 guards, arrives late in the evening local time.
The K11 remains in orbit after the rendezvous, for use by Jack and
Joshi.

Arn goes to Telos on the /Kaled 2/, seeking to meet with Governor
Wilson. Four agents travel with him: Captain Lamm and Lts. Malden,
Rangar, and Dienst. He sends Wilson a recorded communique
documenting the investigation and requesting assistance. Wilson
replies that the agents will be allowed to observe, but not
participate.
PM: Xanatos is put into cryogenic suspension by early PM of Day 4.
Late in the evening, Arn and the agents arrive and check in with
Wilson's personnel. The second ship goes back to Shardakour to ferry
the rest to Telos later. Arn orders Dak and Zoey back to Kaled by
commercial transport. They arrive late at night and call Jack. Jack
is teased by Zoey.

AM: The search for Lien begins in Thani. Jack meets with Prime
Minister Derek Ionsoch from 0830 - 0930. Ionsoch seems open to the
idea of intervention in the trade dispute with Balgon, and agrees to
forward the matter to his minister of trade. He is also hesitant to
intervene in the murder investigation but passes the information
along. [OOC: to Wilson and to Damien?]

The search continues in the cities.
Lamm reports to Arn, then Jack, that something seems to be amiss,
considering the lack of cooperation from D'arrin.
Arn calls Tuskan Pillar, the leader of D'arrin, and finds that he is
unavailable.
He then calls Alida, who has no information on Damien's operations, and
Nyssa, who declines to provide any information for the present time. Arn
offers to keep both Alida and Nyssa posted and they agree to the same.
Finally, Arn contacts Jack and Joshi and gives then a brief update.
[other RP] Xanatos is brought out of cryo.
Queen Sh'lee contacts Princess Tamara of Zeilar on Zoron about Mikala.
Octavia requests to speak with Tara, when they meet she formally requests to have Victoria visit Arridor. Tara agrees to consider it, but speaks with Victoria first, then grants them two weeks time.
Three days after the reception Xanatos Du'Cruet becomes ill and is removed back to Telos.

Jack has lunch with Sharra early in the afternoon.
Jack orders his work sent to the /Kaled 11/ by secure channel. He
starts getting caught up. Lien will extract the gemstone from the
stolen necklace and give it to one of his contacts on D'arrin. The
contact will have the necklace recycled.
DAY 9: AM: Shardakouran special ops land on D'arrin and start to comb the wilderness. This team consists of eight Force users, four capable of mind control.
Michael and M'lissa returns to Telos.
Anna's child is lost in a metaconcerted effort to restore Michael. Nyssa continues to watch over Michael on the astral plane.
Christine issues an ultimatum in Xanatos's name to the leaders of D'arrin and S'arrin - they are to come to Thani within 24 hours to swear loyalty.
PM: The search concludes in the cities of the main continent. Stakeouts of Lien's suspected contacts continue.
DAY 10: The search continues on D'arrin. Lien's contact will head into the city and attempt to book passage offworld in three days' time.
Tuskan Pillar of D'arrin and Telliard Rillak of S'arrin arrive in Thani by order of Xanatos Du'Cruet. They are scheduled to swear their loyalty upon arrival.
DAY 11: The search continues on D'arrin. AM: Jack will finish catching up on work a little after midnight. He will file a complete report to Arn and check with him on progress with the investigation. PM: Jack takes Sharra to the beach.
DAY 12: Lien is captured alive at a farmhouse on D'arrin. The initial raid involves four of the Force users storming the hideout. One Shardakouran special ops agent (a non-Force user) is killed and one is severely incapacitated by Lien's sniping. He takes a farmer, his wife and daughter, and a farmhand hostage. Releasing the daughter as a distraction, he attempts to flee with the farmer and his wife. The farmhand is killed as the adult hostages try to make a break for it, and the Force users immediately bring Lien down via telepathic control.
