TALES FROM THE CANTINA

Tales from the Cantina is a fanzine published by the Forces of the Empire, LTD. specifically for stories about FoE persona and the things they do.

TftC is published whenever enough material has been submitted to create a minimum page count.

Submission Guidelines for Tales from the Cantina

  • We only accept submissions which deal with the club persona characters. The main movie characters can be in the stories also, but the focus should be FoE characters. In general, stories about the movie characters should be submitted to a mainstream Star Wars zine, such as IMPERIUM.  However, if the movie characters are involved in an FoE specific plotline, that story should definitely come to us.
  • We will accept just about anything:
    • Stories
    • Scripts or Plays
    • Artwork (we really want art!)
    • Poetry
    • Filks (songs about StarWars)
    • Cartoons
    • Etc.
  • We prefer to keep it PG13 or less.  R rated material will be considered, but is subject to Editor's approval.
  • All work will be edited.  If the author is not willing to accept editorial suggestions and changes, the submission will be returned.


How to Submit

  • If possible submit on computer disk. Word 7.0 for Win95 is preferred, but most other PC based word processors or ASCII can be converted.  The editor does not have capability to convert from MAC formats at this time.
  • If submitting on disk, please label your disks with your name, story title(s), disk format, the word processing program used, and the format the disk is in.
  • Submissions may also be sent via email, either in the body of the email, or as an attachment, using the above computer program requirements.  If sending a long submission in multiple emails, please put Part 1, Part 2, etc. in the subject line.
  • Hard copy submissions must be written neatly or typed with at least one inch margins on all sides.  Authors name and title should head each page and pages should be numbered. Please note that any hard copy submission will be re-typed to be added to the 'zine.
  • Artwork should be a clear, camera-ready, copy. Never send originals as the Postal Service has a reputation for losing important items.  Artwork will not be returned, unless special arrangements are made.
  • Photos are welcome also. If you want photos returned please include a SASE.
