The Academy of European Medieval Martial Arts or AEMA is focused on the resurrection and formalization of European medieval martial arts, hence the name of the academy. Our research is based on the writings of Talhoffer and Fiori de'Liberi. We are currently developing and documenting an entire longsword training program. We use steel weapons, transition period of the mid-late 14th century armour (chain mail, some plate armour).

A secondary objective of AEMMA, is to invite various international groups and organizations and to build an international federation of medieval training schools whose purpose will be to contribute to the development, standardization and formalization of medieval martial arts.
