REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Ambercon 2009 is the premier international Amber Diceless Roleplaying convention. This is the 20th annual Ambercon, and our 8 slots range from 4 to 7 hours each, allowing game masters to run either long or short games, while still giving players as many gaming opportunities as possible. We accept any diceless game scenario, although our focus is on the ADRPG.

The registration form is now available. Fill it out online, or mail in the printable version. If you attended last year's Ambercon, you can import your old contact information into the online form by logging in with your e-mail address and password from last year. Note: If you are under 18, you must use the printable version.

Checks should be made payable to "Ambercon, Inc." (note: $30 returned check fee). Checks and printed forms should be mailed to:

If you'd prefer to pay by credit card, we accept such payments via PayPal. Simply click on the PayPal button below, and enter the total amount owed to us on the page that comes up. (If this button doesn't work, money can be sent from the PayPal site to paypal@ambercon.com.) If you are paying for multiple people, you can submit one PayPal charge for the total, so long as you note everyone the payment is intended to cover. This actually saves us money, as PayPal charges us a fee for each payment it processes.

If you've never been to Ambercon before, this is how it works. You register for either one, three or four days. The one-day registration allows you to play in games on the day (or days) you pick. The three-day registration allows you to play in games Friday evening through Sunday. The four-day registration allows you to play in games Thursday evening through Sunday. The four-day registrations also come with $20 worth of food certificates which can be spent at the hotel restaurant/room service, while the three-day registrations come with $15 worth. There are no food certificates with the one-day registration.

After you've registered, we'll notify you when the games for the Con are available on our website, and you get to pick those you'd most like to play in each slot. You do not have to pay a per game fee - your registration lets you play in as many slots as you'd like on the day or days covered by your registration type. Once the game book is available, we ask you to send us your list of possible games (we advise picking more than one in each slot, in case your first choice is full), and after the game selection deadline is past, we will assign your games. For more info on the game selection system, see the game scheduling web page. If you run a game, you will receive a scheduling advantage over someone who doesn't GM. Ditto for volunteers. Once we have everyone scheduled, we send you the list of your games, and we send the gamemasters the lists of their players, so any prep for the game can be done before the con, giving everyone more playing time.

Everyone is welcome at Ambercon, but if you are under 18 years of age, and you will not be accompanied to your games by your parent, we need them to sign some important legal documents. Have your parent or legal guardian e-mail the Con Chair at conchair@ambercon.com. Thanks.

GMs: We need your brains...I mean games! Please submit a game via our online game submission form. Remember, GMs get priority when we schedule games!
