The log hasn't really set the scene here. The corridor the party attempts to
pass through has been trapped with pressure plates on the floor, triggering
venom-slimed stone spears which thrust into the hall at odd angles.
The spears are a hazard not only from kinetic energy poisoning, but also from the
more conventional kind. Since Akhan has armor, he goes ahead of the crowd,
triggering spears and hoping he doesn't get skewered. Once he's popped a set
of spears, everyone else attempts to squeeze by, enjoying (or not, depending on their
preferences) rubbing up against each other, each other's armor, each other's
weapons...
The poor Renyu (1) gets poison goo on his tail, (2) smacks two other party
members with it, and then (3) starts howling in pain as it soaks through his
fur and hits skin...
