This section of the web site is for the information that was designed to be "DM only". There are maps of some of the key locations of the campaign, as well my version of the history of Mer and its relationship with the Dark Dweller.

The Alien World of Mer This is the map of Mer I drew up mainly for the purposes of determining travel time between locations. It shows the major features of the world, as well as where I hid the various remaining treasures of Rul (as indicated by the "Ancient Tome" pages elsewhere in this web site). |

The Island of Kinja This is one example of a settled island on the world of Mer. It was the starting point for the campaign and serves as something of a homebase for the PC's in my current game. (The specific site would be "Armondo's Sail and Pasta Shoppe", a store owned by one of the PCs.) By way of trivia, I stole the name of the island from an actual island in the Caribbean. The island is currently called Amerigo, but it used to be called King George the Third Island - shortened to "Kinja" by the residents. |

Serpent's Coil This is another example of a settled island - one that is a bit more in keeping with the general feel of the cartoon. This town is settled on the inside of the blasted-out remains of a volcano. It's actually turning out to be playing a larger role in the game than I originally expected. |

The History of Mer (True and Not-so-True) Since part of the campaign was going to be dealing quite heavily with past events, I decided to create a rather broad history for the world of Mer. I took the basics presented in the cartoon, and expanded on them, adding a few twists of my own just to make things interesting (and add just the right amount moral abiguity that I have come to enjoy in my games). In addition to the true history of the world, there are also two sections on the history as a couple of the PCs know it. I had a lot of fun deliberately adding some falsehoods into those texts. |
