John M (580) started to appear on the Personal Property Tax List of Prince William County, VA, in 1818.
John M (580) married Segnora Brown (587). John M (580), age 26 to 45, appeared as head of household on the census of Prince William County, VA, in 1820. Listed also: others not named. The family of John M Tyler is pretty well established in the will, dated 1824, but proved in 1835, of Sally Tyler Linton, a sister of John's father, Charles Tyler, thus an aunt of John M. In the will Sally leaves to "Sarah Tyler, daughter of John M Tyler and Seignora Brown Tyler, now Seignora Nelson". It is quite clear that John M Tyler is dead by 1824, and his wife has remarried. Since only the one child is mentioned, I have to presume Sarah is probably an only child. He appeared for the last time on the Personal Property Tax List of Prince William County, VA, in 1820. John (580) died in 1821 at Prince William County, VA. John M's (580) estate was probated on 1 Nov 1821 at Prince William County, VA. |
