In Rupp's "30,000 Names" p. 131 he is listed among passengers 31 October 1737, Palatine emigrants in Ship "William." John Carter, master, from Rotterdam, last from dover, with 180 passengers. He seems to have gone to Rhinebeck NY as early as 1738.
The old records show the name was spelled Boltz, Pulse, Poltz, Pultz, etc.
Johan was one of the trustees of St. Paul's Lutheran Church June 1, 1785, when his sons George and Sebastian deeded land to build a new church. This at first was called the "Wirtemburg Church" and later known as Pink's Corner. 3 |
