"Conveniently located near three major expressways, the Embassy Suites Detroit-Livonia is just a short drive [by highway] from all Detroit area attractions."

You can see a general layout of what the rooms are like on their webpage. Each room does have a coffee machine (and they are very generous when you ask housekeeping for extra coffee/tea/sugar/so on), a microwave, and a small fridge, along with a sink in the kitchenette area. Hair dryers and a second TV in the bedroom, and those neat alarm clocks that will let you set two alarm times. Each room has voicemail also. In the living space there is a table with four chairs, a couch, a lounge, a coffee table, end table, and TV.

This particular Embassy Suites is nice in that it has a beautiful open atrium, with waterfalls, streams, and plants. With your room you also get complimentary breakfast (real food, not just bagels and donuts) and two free drinks each afternoon at the manager's reception.

There is a Meijer's about 1 mile away, with a grocery in it, and lots of fast food by the Meijer's. There is semi-expensive food within sight of the hotel, but to get to a $5 meal you'll need to get into a car.
