My great grandmother was Eurceline
(Mayhew) Spaulding. Her parents were Irving E. and Anna B. (Sullivan) Mayhew.
Her siblings were Hugh, Margaret, and Judson. As of the 1910 census as well
as the Detroit City Directories, Anna Mayhew is listed as a widow. The 1900
census lists "Irvin" and Anna (and the above children) Mayhew. I believe
Irving (listed as Erwin, Irwin, and Irvin as well as in other sources) died
between April 1909 and April 1910 (dates of Detroit city directories). The
Mayhews are also listed in those city books as "E. Mayhew & Son (Edward and
Judson T.) Contracters,Carpenters, and Builders. 41
